Cheap and effective peptide drugs

We are an R&D-driven medtech company that develops peptide-based drugs to cure diseases such as Alzheimer’s, Parkinsons, and amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS). Peptides are small molecules that have several advantages as drugs. They are cheap to produce, and due to their small size they easily penetrate the blood-brain-barrier, making them ideal for treatment of brain disorders.

Many of our peptides are designed with cell-penetrating properties, which on a molecular level allow them to travel through the cell membrane into the cell. These peptides can either be therapeutic agents themselves, or carry a cargo that has a medical effect. Examples of cargo molecules include DNA, RNA, antibodies and small molecules.

The company was founded by three biophysics researchers at Stockholm University: Prof. Astrid Gräslund, Dr. Jüri Jarvet, and Dr. Sebastian Wärmländer. All three have spent decades conducting biomedical research, and together they have published over 500 research papers in peer-reviewed journals. Their expertise also covers business management and intellectual property protection.
